Registration Info

Scilympiad Registration Opens: September 8th, 2026

Scilympiad Registration Closes: December 18th, 2026

Registration Fee: $65 per team

Registration Fee Deadline: January 4th, 2027

Please reach out to team@lahscioly.org if your team needs a registration fee discount or waiver and we will consider each situation on a case by case basis. Participation ability should not be determined based on a team's ability to afford the registration fee. Title I schools may register for free.

Team spots in the tournament are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, contingent upon Los Altos High School receiving the registration fee. Teams that do not pay on time will forfeit their spot. If your school anticipates difficulty meeting the registration fee deadline, please contact us at team@lahscioly.org.

We will have a maximum of 250 Division B and 250 Division C teams. There is a cap of 10 teams per school, and each team must be registered with its respective Regional or State. Additionally, all students must meet the eligibility requirements outlined on soinc.org to compete for their teams (each Division C team can have a maximum of 7 seniors, and each Division B team can have a maximum of 5 9th-grade students). Each team may have up to 10 alternates, and the alternates may only participate in Trial Events.

$60/team refunds are available only before the Scilympiad registration closes. $40/team refunds are available before the registration fee deadline. No refunds are available once the tournament starts.  

Registration Steps

Registration should be done by a coach or captain and will take place on Scilympiad.

1. Create a "Head Coach" account

2. Register your school

3. Add your team(s)

4. Pay registration fees - Card/Direct Debit or Checks (No purchase orders)

Registration is not considered complete until all of the above steps are complete. We will mark your team as "paid" on Scilympiad once your payment has been successfully received.
